Welcome to SNX DLX, our weekly roundup of the best sneakers on the market. It’s a big day for SNX – no, we don’t have an ultra-dope release to get us excited about, there’s no super rare collaboration planned this week that is guaranteed to crash Nike servers or get the talk. Internet, but it’s the first week of 2022. That means it’s the start of a whole new year of sneaker drops.
Two years ago was the year of the Dunks, last year was the year of the Jordan 1, which 2022 brings we can only guess, but we’re excited nonetheless. Considering this week’s sneaker release, our excitement for this year is pretty much all we’ve got. Your Apple Watch might point to 2022, but you wouldn’t know from looking at this week’s drops because it looks like the big brands are still on vacation and all we get are leftovers from the previous year.
With the exception of a handful of releases, this week is shaping up to be even duller than the last two weeks of 2021. That’s not a major issue as this week’s highlights are still quite fiery, but we hope. have a more substantial list next week. This time around, we’re going to have to keep the list light, let’s dive in!
Nike ACG Air Mowabb Trails End Brown
Part 90s design, part hiking sneakers of the future, the Air Mowabb is one of Tinker Hatfield’s most underrated models. It’s not as sleek as the Jordan 4, or as futuristic as the Air Max 90, the Air Mowabb favors fashionable functionality.
Featuring an inner liner housed by a premium reinforced upper, the Air Mowabb is engineered with durability in mind and features a stretch collar and added comfort with an extra soft foam midsole. This week’s Mowabb is part of Nike’s performance-driven ACG imprint and comes in an earthy but flashy colourway that combines Trails End Brown with Prism Violet.
The Nike ACG Air Mowabb Trails End Brown is available now for $ 160. Get a pair through the Nike SNKRS app.
Louis Vuitton LV sneakers
Okay, it’s true that it’s more of a curiosity or a topic of conversation than it’s a shoe that we actually think you should buy, but like we said, it’s a slow week and so. is definitely one of the most interesting pairs of sneakers to ditch this week.
The LV Trainer is adorned with tiny crystals of varying colors all over the upper of the sneaker and requires seven hours of tailoring to assemble. The double sneaker drop is available in two colourways, a blue, pink and purple render, or a stronger electric yellow, black and gray scheme with both colourways featuring the monogram mark on the outsole and the LV mark in the midfoot .
The Louis Vuitton LV Trainer pack is now available for a retail price of, wait… $ 5,350 for the pink, blue, and purple pair, and even $ 6,000 for the yellow. Get a pair at Louis Vuitton website.
It’s not flashy or accompanied by a famous name, but it doesn’t have to be, it’s a simple colourway on one of New Balance’s best silhouettes of all time.
